How fast is AI?

Weak-link audit · for teams

Why isn't AI making your team faster?

Speeding up the steps AI is good at rarely speeds up the outcome, because work waits on its slowest links: approvals, judgment, handoffs. This audit asks the people who do the work where those links are, so you know what to automate, what to redesign, and what to measure.

  1. 01

    Map the chain

List the steps one workflow takes, from request to outcome: say, a sales proposal from research to signed contract.

  2. 02

Ask the people who do it

Share a link. Each person rates how much AI could do each step and how much each step holds things up. About five minutes.

  3. 03

    Find the weak links

See the chain's strength, what AI alone would change, where to start, where the team disagrees, and what to measure.

Start an audit

Map one workflow as a chain of steps. You'll get a private link to manage it and a link to share with the people who do the work.

What this is, and isn't

It's a structured conversation starter: a shared map of where a workflow is slow and where people think AI could help, built from the judgment of the people closest to the work.

It isn't an ROI forecast. Ratings are opinions; the chain-strength score is a way to compare steps, not a measurement. Treat the results as hypotheses and test them with the measures it suggests. The idea comes from the weak-link view of growth.
