What this site collects.
This is a free, independent site. It has no accounts and no ads, and it does not sell or share data.
Analytics
With your consent, the site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which charts and controls people use (for example, which capability level or country they pick). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address. Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland are asked before anything loads; elsewhere analytics load by default and you can turn them off at any time.
Your country
To decide whether to ask for consent, and to show your own economy first, the site asks its host (Vercel) which country your request came from. The answer is used in your browser and is not stored.
Stored in your browser
Your analytics choice, the economy you picked, and the date of your last visit (to show what changed since) are kept in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device, and clearing site data removes them.
Embedded charts
Charts embedded on other websites load no analytics and set no cookies. Like the site itself, they may ask Vercel for your country to show your economy first.
Quiz answers and votes
If you take the beliefs quiz or vote on a prediction, the site stores your answers to show pooled results, with no account or cookie. Your IP address is never stored. To limit spam and count one vote per person per day, the server keeps a keyed hash of your IP address and browser that changes every day and is deleted after two days, so answers can't be linked to you or to each other across days. Pooled results only appear once enough people have answered.
Team audits
A weak-link audit stores its title, steps, and each participant's ratings, notes, and optional name. There are no accounts: the admin and participant links contain random keys that the server stores only in hashed form, and they sit after the # in the address, so they are never sent in server logs or to other sites. The facilitator can delete an audit at any time, and audits are deleted automatically after 90 days without activity.
